The Jaya NCC has presently has one NCC unit namely 13 TN BN NCC (SD & SW) at Madras B Group, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman Nicobar Directorate. The Present Jaya NCC if functioning with the strength of 01 ANO and 52 Cadets under13 TN BN NCC. The NCC units of Jaya provide ample opportunities to develop one’s physical and intellectual potential through different training camps and activities like Republic Day Camp (RDC), Thalsanik Camp (TSC) Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC), Basic Leadership Camp (BLC), Compined Annual Training Camp(CATC), Army Attachment Training Camp (AATC), Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) , Rock Climbing Training Camp(RCTC), Special National Integration Camp ( SNIC), community development program cum social service activities like sapling plantations, blood donation camps, social awareness rallies, cleanliness drives of statues, COVID-199 related camps, adventure training like trekking camp sports camp etc. along with institutional trainings including Foot Drill, Arms Drill, Weapons training, Obstacles Training, Self Defense, Map Reading Etc,. Every year Cadets from jaya will attend above different training camps as per the schedule provided by the directorate, Group and unit time to time. From the raising of the NCC unit in the jaya many cadets of the unit got appointed as Army Officers and in general duty of INDIAN ARMY and Department of Police from time to time.
AIMS OF NATIONAL CADET CORPS:
- To develop character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
- To create human resources of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.
- To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
