History
In Our college the Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2005 with undergraduate course. Department of Chemistry has well qualified and research experienced faculties with Doctoral degree an excellent infrastructure facility including well equipped laboratories. Our department has produced many meritorious students in securing Gold medals and University Ranks.

Programme Offered: B.Sc.Chemistry
Program Objectives
PO 1: | The B.Sc. program of Chemistry of Jaya College of Arts and Science, Thiruniravur was started in the year 2005. |
PO 2: | A detailed knowledge of the terms, concepts, methods, principles and experimental techniques of Chemistry can be understood. |
PO 3: | Basic concepts of chemical sciences and the tools needed for the practice of chemistry is provided in this course. |
PO 4: | The interdisciplinary approach of the program helps the student to contribute the academic knowledge to the industrial requirements of the society. |
PO 5: | They will be skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical reasoning and experimentations as applied to scientific problems. |
PO 6: | They can follow and understand general lab practice guidelines and safety measures. |
PO 7: | They can perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis from conventional methods to sophisticated instruments. |
