DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
HISTORY
The department of commerce was started in the year 1992 when Commerce is a social deal with common people and also ladder for them. It creates a knowledge management in each and every person to work in the organizational environment and generate intellectual exchange in the field of industries. The department of commerce has a prime place in this college in terms of both student strength and faculty size. The department was elevated with the introduction of B.Com accounting and finance in 2018. The students’ occupancy rate more than 1/3 of the total strength of the college.
OBJECTIVE
- To impart knowledge and skill in commerce and business related courses.
- To provide exposure to business decision making skills.
- To prepare high quality human resources for Teaching and Research.
- To develop positive attitudes and values so as to strengthen the personality traits among students.

Our mission is to provide quality education and training in commerce and business related courses and to develop skilled, knowledgeable human resources who by their positive thinking and value based personality would provide effective leadership in teaching, research and careers in Commerce and business related fields.
VISION
The vision of the Department of Commerce is to grow to assume an enviable position in the realm of higher education in the whole world.
DURATION
B.com is one of the most sought courses after 12th .It has the duration of 3 years dividend in to 6 semesters and the subject involved in it list below.
Learning Process
- The department places emphasis on hands on learning through expert lectures, seminar, fairs, workshop, industrial visit, PowerPoint presentation, smart classes etc.
- The departments regularly organize a variety of co-curricular activities in addition to class room teaching for promoting active learning by students.
- Besides the department organize extra class for slowlearners and also tally classes for our students how to maintain company accounts in the computer accounting with practical classes.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The department is equipped with one LCD projector which helps students to learn tally classes, students can present their PowerPoint for seminar purpose.
DEPARTMENTAL LIBRARY
The department has library having several authors for development of students and faculty positive attitudes and values so as to strengthen the personality traits.
- Forwarding specimen copies of subject books supplied by the publisher to staff and department.
- The books were contributed by students for the welfare of the department and it was regularly issued to the needy students and faculty.
CHARITIES
The faculty member extends financial assistance to students towards purchase of books, payment of examination fee, etc.
